About
Welcome to The Rudy Project. I created it because I needed some help. After years of exercising, cycling and training on my own, I found myself suddenly slacking off, unmotivated. My last few years on the bike had me climbing Mt. Evans, riding RAGBRAI and breezing past Hell’s Gate in the Hotter N Hell - But all of a sudden I lost sight of what I was doing and why.
This is a common problem for many people that bring exercise into their lives and there are many answers to it. One remedy is this, The-Rudy-Project. Here, in an attempt to bring back purpose to my labors, I will not only be offering my efforts to you for your own amusement, but so that I can organize my own thoughts on what it is that I am doing.
My hope is that those of you who read these pages can perhaps sympathize where appropriate or better yet offer your own comments and thoughts on the various subjects. Perhaps by helping me make sense of what I am doing, The-Rudy-Project can offer visitors some new knowledge, motivation or insight into the topics we will discuss together.

Do Something – Endure Life
Life is an endurance sport. It will throw at you things you like, and things you don’t like. The easy part is to live during the good times. Anyone can do that. The challenge is to stand firm in the storms and thrive during the hard parts. Some people quit, others do something–anything–to move forward. I choose to do something. I choose to endure life.
